Movie marathon!

My idea of relaxation: Lay's STAX Cheddar and a movie marathon!!! After a stressful day at work, I decided to watch three very different films: a psycho thriller, one with a heavy drama, and lastly a romantic comedy.

The Roommate is a psycho thriller starring my style icons Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly. I liked how the actors played their roles, especially Meester. Cam Gigandet which also stars in this film, first achieved stardom for his appearance in the Twilight Saga - as the antagonist vampire "James." The way he acted his role in the movie Twilight was superb as well as in this film. Alyson Mickalka of Hellcats also has a role in this film which she portrayed very effectively. The movie though as a whole was not that thrilling.

The film that made me cry so bad, The Last Song stars the talented young actress Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. At first, I thought the movie would be a boring one. But after watching it, I can say that I liked everything about this film and would definitely watch it over and over again! Like my all time favorite film A Walk to Remember, the movie The Last Song was also based on Nicholas Sparks' novel. Sparks even wrote for the movie's screenplay. My favorite tear-jerking scene though was when Jonah Miller, played by young actor Bobby Coleman, heard the bad news about his father's health condition. 

Super LOL film, Just Go with It stars the gorgeous Jennifer Aniston and funny man Adam Sandler. Golden Globe Best Actress Nicole Kidman also appeared in this film. Like all Adam Sandler's productions, I also laughed my ass off on this one. :-D

Family Trip

I took the Genesis Bus on my way to Manila and had a chance to sit beside a family composed of 4 adults and 4 kids. They paid a fare good for 4 persons and shared the seats to fit 8 persons. Talk about saving money!

Whenever I commute alone and ride the passenger bus from the city to my hometown (which happens once in a blue moon), I always or should I say most of the time, end up chatting endlessly with the person beside me. I'm not sure but there's this carefree feeling that triggers me to talk and talk! From the terminal to my destination, I talk and can't help but share some things about me to that passenger. Honestly, it's not in my nature to open up and start a conversation with strangers. I'm the reserved type and a bit shy. So how come I become a different person in a flash? Maybe the big shift in my behavior is a result of the freedom and joy given to me by commuting on my own, which is pretty much a good thing! ;-)
